It wasn’t the best I’ve ever done at yoga. It was the first time I’ve done yoga in jeans though. Hopefully it’ll be the last time as well… I forgot my yoga clothes at home. They were nicely folded on my dresser waiting to be put in my bag and brought with me to work. I have made a commitment to do yoga each Monday at lunch time. Today was Monday. And now I had no stretchy clothes to change into at lunch. I had two choices:
I’ll be honest, I was able to come up with many excuses on why I should skip out. I mean I had the obvious excuse of “I’m wearing skinny jeans” but that was just the tip of my excuse snowball. Ultimately, I decided to practice yoga. The benefits outweighed my excuses and I needed a break from sitting at my desk. These are some of the benefits I came up with:
I wasn’t able to do all the poses (low lunges were a no go), but I’m very happy I decided to take the time to move my body and reap the benefits of yoga. If you’re curious, I didn’t spend the entire time doing shavasana.
